SAFFY (Ch.Dandyhow Private Eye x Brockhole Blue Ribband at Quatford)

Let's start with the oldest and first Border I have - my darling Quatford Kiss N Tell at Fehmarn JW (Saffy).

She is 13 years old now and still walks every day with the rest of the pack for an hour.  I dread the day when she leaves for Rainbow Bridge, as I couldn't have had a better foundation bitch for my kennel.  Her temperament is the best and she has taught all the pups as they arrive to any of the bitches,  how to 'behave'.  For a number of years she was a PAT dog, visiting our local hospice weekly where she was a much loved resident.

Her winning BOB at Crufts gave the patients a real lift, and she was greeted with presents from the patients and the local press were there to promote the hospice through Saffy (what a privilege).  I was very 'green' in the show world when she obtained Best of Breed at Crufts, and as a veteran she continues to do well in the ring.  She has given me some lovely pups including Ch.Fehmarn Magic Lantern JW, but first and foremost she is my constant, loyal and much loved companion.

Ch.Fehmarn Magic Lantern JW came out of Saffy's first litter - the first male dog in 30 years of owning dogs.  He has been a delight to own and very much throws his type onto his pups.  I have a 6 month old pup of his at the moment (Flurry) who I'm looking forward to bringing out into the ring this Autumn.

Although Tag is now in veteran being 9 years old (and doing really well), he certainly doesn't look his age, and could easily still give the 'young bucks' a run for their money!!

Tag's litter sister Lexie produced a fabulous first litter with Ch.Otterkin Blue Bayou Conundrum, producing an European champion (Fehmarn King Creole), Finnish champion (Fehmarn Huckleberry Fin JW) and a stud book registered sister (Fehmarn Mint Julep).

Finley is consistently placed at the dog shows he attends, and has had some super puppies, really passing on his type.

Fehmarn Kiss N' Karess has been in Ireland since the Spring on loan to some friends at the Glencarraig kennel.  They hadn't got a bitch to show and asked if they could borrow Cymmie until September.  She's done very well getting 2 CACIBs and many reserves.  Now I'm hoping for a litter from her.
